Biography

Dr Kim McKee is Co-Investigator at the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE), and Senior Lecturer in Social Policy & Housing at the University of Stirling.  Kim has an interdisciplinary background with a PhD and MRes in Urban Studies from the University of Glasgow. Her research interests revolve around four key themes:

  • Housing and urban governance
  • Housing inequalities (social, spatial and generational)
  • Low-income housing
  • Housing and young people

Kim is currently Editor of Housing Studies, an editorial board member of the journal Housing, Theory and Society, and past Chair of the Housing Studies Association.

In her role at CaCHE, Kim is working within the ‘choice’ theme, and led the exemplar project on ‘Generation Rent’.
