Dr Gareth James is Knowledge Exchange Associate for the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE) and is based at the University of Glasgow.
Prior to joining CaCHE, Gareth taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in (African) politics and research methods at the University of Edinburgh and Newcastle University.
Gareth holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, is Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and former Managing Editor of the British Journal of Politics and International Relations.
His research interests include urban and rural land reform; public policy, housing and household welfare; theories of teaching and learning; and research methods and methodologies. He is particularly interested in the politics of evidence-based policy making in the UK, as well as urban and housing policy innovation in the Global South.
