Biography

Dr Peter Mackie is Knowledge Exchange Lead the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence’s KE Hub in Wales. He is responsible for liaising with local stakeholders, developing a local knowledge exchange plan and most significantly he will lead on the implementation of the local Tobin process. Peter will also play a key role in research activities under the centre’s homelessness theme.

The primary focus of Peter’s research is on the development of UK homelessness policy and legislation through research and advisory work, whilst also contributing to debates beyond the UK, particularly in relation to homelessness prevention. Most notably, he led the 2012 review of homelessness legislation in Wales.

Peter is currently a FEANTSA Research advisor for the UK, convenor of the Wales Housing Research Network, and Policy Review Editor for the International Journal of Housing Policy.
