Tom Kenny is a Co-Investigator at the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence and Policy Officer at Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
In his role with CaCHe, Tom is working with the ‘Place’ theme which looks at housing and neighbourhood design, sustainability and place-making, and is also involved in Knowledge Exchange activities in London.
Tom’s main research interests are in housing affordability, land value capture, and placemaking.
Within RTPI, leads on housing for the policy and research team, focusing mostly on how better planning can contribute to housing affordability. His research career started off at the National Centre for Social Research, and more recently he was investigating how to achieve ‘common good land use’ at Shared Assets.
