Advancing knowledge and understanding of the UK housing sector

Established in 2017, CaCHE is led by the University of Glasgow and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

We are a consortium of eight partners in higher education and non-academic institutions.

Through our research and analysis of all aspects of the housing sector, from social housing and private renting to sustainability and homelessness, we seek to highlight key challenges and promote innovative solutions to tackle complex issues.

“Housing Matters: How Did we get here and where are we going?” Conference (2-3 September 2026)

Housing scholars, policymakers and practitioners are invited to submit short abstracts of papers (max. 250 words) by 5pm, Friday 5 June 2026 for Housing Matters: How Did We Get Here and Where Are We Going? (2-3 September, Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel) hosted by the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE).
