Biography
Amy Clair is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Housing Research, University of Adelaide. She is also a research associate of the ESRC Centre for Micro-Social Change, University of Essex. A quantitative social policy researcher, her work focuses on the impact of policies on health and well-being, with an emphasis on housing and child well-being. Recent work has explored the impact of cold homes on mental health, changes to the Local Housing Allowance, and the potential of biomarker measures for understanding the relationship between housing and health. Current projects include an analysis of short-term rental accommodation, investigating the use of machine learning in housing research, and data collection to improve understanding of children’s housing and health.
