Biography

Dr Edgar Liu is a Senior Research Fellow at UNSW’s City Futures Research Centre. He has disciplinary backgrounds in economic and cultural geography. His research primarily focuses on multigenerational family housing; people outcomes of public housing estate regeneration; ageing in place; energy poverty and justice; and concepts of community and place. 

Currently, he is on the Editorial Board of the Q1 journal Ageing and Society. He was previously an Associate Editor with the Q1 journal Frontiers in Sustainable Cities’ Urban Energy End-Use section (2020-2024).
