Knowledge Exchange Lead

Prof Ed Ferrari is Knowledge Exchange Lead for the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence’s North and Midlands of England Hub.

Ed is Research Director at Mosodi, a small consultancy specialising in sustainable transport and placemaking. He is an experienced research and evaluation professional with over 25 years’ experience of designing and delivering research and evaluation projects and providing strategy and policy insight in housing markets, urban policy, strategic planning, transport and related fields.

Until November 2025 he was professor and Director of the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University. Ed’s work is applied in its focus and he has worked on a wide range of strategic housing projects for national governments, local authorities, housing associations and charities as well as the private sector.
