Blog series: Response to proposed changes to the planning system in England
On 6 August 2020, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government launched Planning for the Future , a white paper which outlines plans to overhaul the planning system in England.
The UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence invited guest authors to share their initial responses to these proposed changes:
- A critical academic response to the evidence-free debate on planning reform, by Prof Malcolm Tait
- Planning for the future: challenges of introducing a new Infrastructure Levy need to be addressed, by Prof Tony Crook, Prof John Henneberry and Prof Christine Whitehead
- Planning for what sort of future? by Dr Phil O’Brien and Dr Sebastian Dembski
