Video: At home in the East End of Glasgow

People in different parts of the country face different housing challenges. One area that we are particularly interested in is the East End of Glasgow, where the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence is based. We want to make sure that our research is focused on the right priorities and have a positive impact on people’s lives.

During the Festival of Social Science 2019, we met with people who live and work in the local area to ask:

  • What it is they love about the East End of Glasgow
  • What ‘home’ means to them
  • Challenges they face
  • What organisations and community groups are doing to help address these challenges

The input we received from residents, local organisations and community groups will feed into a wider piece of work. More information is included in a CaCHE blog by Knowledge Exchange Associate, Dr Gareth James.
