Housing systems, their institutions and their resilience
This literature review forms part of the CaCHE project, Housing systems, their institutions and their resilience. The project explores the evolution of the UK housing system between the start of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) in 2007/08 and the Covid-19 crisis in 2020, specifically exploring in what respects its resilience was strengthened or undermined during this period. The literature review examines scholarship and grey literature on resilience as it relates to housing systems and their institutions, crises (the GFC and Covid-19 pandemic) and organisations.
The aims were:
- to develop the concept of resilience from the broader literature; and
- to outline literature relating to housing and resilience. It was conducted from July – October 2020 at the beginning of this project and therefore does not include literature published since then.
