Visions of Scottish Housing

It is widely held that the housing system in the UK is broken, but what would a ‘fixed’ or ‘good’ housing system look like. One starting point has been offered by the Scottish Government who have identified a number of possible principles as part of the consultation on the Vision for Housing to 2040 (Scottish Government, 2019).

This briefing examines the Scottish Government’s approach by attempting to define the principles identified and to see what their adoption would mean for housing policy in Scotland.
